Erith’s old Carnegie Library has re-opened as The Exchange following a renovation programme funded by London Borough of Bexley and the Mayor of London. Visit to find The Bookstore Cafe and an exiciting programme of heritage and cultural events.

Visit the Gardens for views of the river and a peaceful, green space, in the middle of the town centre. The Riverside Gardens will soon be rejuvenated and refurbished based on designs developed in partnership with local residents and community organisations – find out more about the project.
Erith Rowing Club makes the most of the town’s riverside location and has been a fixture in the town since 1943. Located in the old police station’s boathouse if you’re lucky you might see them out racing on the river!
