The council wants to hear from local people about how we can enhance the public areas, streets and key junctions in Erith town centre. The consultation runs until 30 September.
What do you think will make the streets more attractive, healthier and safer for walking, cycling, using public transport and improve the flow of traffic around the town?
Cllr Louie French, Bexley’s Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Growth said:
“The support of the local community is essential to help Erith become a vibrant riverside town again. I’d urge as many people as possible to take our survey and let us know what they think. Your feedback is important and will help us with future designs for the area”.
BDP and Urban Flow Consultants will also be carrying out interviews with the public on the Councils behalf at Erith station on 19 September and at Riverside Shopping Centre and Erith Pier on 21 September.
London Borough of Bexley, through its Greater Erith Regeneration programme, will shortly be submitting a funding bid to TfL for the delivery of an ‘Erith Links Liveable Neighbourhoods scheme’. The scheme has been created by the Mayor of London to fund projects in boroughs that will help deliver active and sustainable transport.
